New Executive Team appointed at MHW

Markland Hill Wealth has rejigged its current leadership team with four new appointments.
Liverpool based regional IFA practice Markland Hill Wealth has rejigged its current leadership team with four new appointments.
Mike Hornby joins the current Directors as Chief Development and People Officer, a role created to nurture the growing talent at the firm. Mike, previously at Ashley Kneale Consultancy, brings a wealth of management and advisory experience to the current board.
Three board members step into new roles this month, with David Dawson accepting the role as Chief Executive Officer, Dan Clough as Chief Operating Officer and Tom Smith becomes Chief Revenue Officer.
The team, who have worked successfully to double the turnover of the company over the past 3 years, have worked with business lifecycle consultants Melo to ensure the right skill sets have been chosen for the right board seats to maximise future growth.
CEO Dawson commented: ‘We are all extremely honoured to lead this company forward into a new era of high performance, where everyone has a role in fulfilling the company’s mission. It was important that we all play to our strengths, and that our team understands who is leading each element of business strategy. With these appointments, and the addition of Mike adding his vast experience, we’ve got the perfect mix of characters to build on what we’ve already achieved’.
The new leadership laid down its ambitious vision for the company, which is to grow to more than 20 times its current size within the next seven years. It aims to do this by growing different advice channels, including its unique volume model, and by significant acquisition.
Dawson added: ‘We’ve already got a number of funding options to support our audacious plans but will take our time to ensure the path chosen puts our clients’ objectives front and centre’.
The firm celebrated their new strategy with a recent relaunch event, held at the prestigious Champney’s Mottram Hall Spa in Cheshire. At the event Rathbones Chief Executive Officer of Investment Management Rupert Baron delivered a keynote speech and Wigan Warriors Rugby player Kruise Leeming shared his experience of operating within a high-performance environment. Kruise, part of the BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year, joined the event for a special dinner where he told his story of taking him from Swaziland to England’s Rugby Super League.
